National Museum of Australia

Project Overview

Built on 11-hectares on the Acton Peninsula, the National Museum of Australia is, located on the water’s edge of Lake Burley Griffin. The site houses 6,600 square metres of space, composed of several individual venues pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle, forming a semicircle around the symbolic landscape of the Garden of Australian Dreams, with its water features, creative landscaping and lighting effects.

With its postmodern architecture and symbolic design, the National Museum of Australia is a remarkable setting for any event. Grand indoor and outdoor spaces, sweeping decks and expansive windows provide stunning mountain, lake and city views. Interiors and exteriors feature vibrant colour palettes and bold textures and patterns that offer unique backdrops.
